RAHVUSVAHELINE PEASEKRETÄR

The year 2016 is coming to the end and I would like to convey to you and your families, my very best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2017.

2016 was marked by the economic crisis that hit many countries, thousands of people, mostly children, die every day from wars, poverty and hunger, and many others suffer and try to live with dignity.

Therefore, it is sufficient to observe that the basic ideas of friendship and solidarity among police in all countries, as introduced in 1950 by the founder of our Union, Arthur Troop, is still very much alive in the family of the IPA.
The deep sense of friendship is to love and serve one another. It seems that despite the disagreement between all peoples and states, there is still room for friendship across borders.

Today we are experiencing a situation where we can observe a growing interest for our organization. We have an opportunity not only to increase the number of our members, but also the number of sections.
The IPA is an international organization and is very important to make our ideas known and accepted worldwide.

Thank you all for your confidence until today, for your letters and your e-mail with your wishes, and the problem of my health that goes well. All these make me feel happy and strong and gives me courage to continue to serve the very important and difficult tasks that have been assigned to me.

I wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous, healthy, hopeful and Happy New Year.

May 2017 bring us all what we hope and wait for us and our loved ones.

Dear friends,
Now that year draws to its end, I wish to all IPA Members and their families, in all five continents, health, happiness, prosperity and contentment for the years to come.
